Panties are the most common and widely used undergarments and are mostly used by girls and women. They are also known as pants, undies, or knickers.

 Generally, panties have an elastic waistband, crotch panel which is usually lined with high absorbent materials and has a pair of leg opening. Most of the fabric used is breathable which allows the air to pass. They are available in a wide range of colors, designs and fabrics.

  • Classic Brief:
    These are both high rise and thick sides also known as Full Brief. These types of panties provide complete front, back, and side coverage.
    They are best to wear with high- waist outfits for the smooth and flat silhouette. The most common fabrics used for briefs are cotton, microfiber, and nylon. They are generally very comfortable.
  • High Cut Brief:
    Also Known as French Cut Briefs. These briefs offer full coverage on the front and back, but the high cut of the thigh means they end at the hip crease.
    It has the same high waist as a classic brief but with high cut leg openings. The wider leg openings and minimal side coverage are great for wearing with form-fitting outfits. Fabrics commonly used range from mesh to microfiber.
  • Control Brief:
    These are like regular classic brief and has a slightly thicker waistline band with an added function of shape-wear.
    The waist portion of the brief tighter and provide compression under the belly button area. In some styles, these goes as high as under the breasts.
     It provides a flat waist line and wears under body-con skirts, rights, and leggings for smooth silhouette around your abdomen.
  • Hipster:
    This underwear has a low rise in the front and back and wider sides to cover the hips. It provides coverage ranging from minimal to moderate which making them a good choice for professional, comfortable, or saucy outfits.
     The waistband on hipster underwear sits on the hips, a couple of inches below the waist, and have low-cut leg holes. They come in a range of fabrics for comfort and style including lace, mesh, cotton, and microfiber. Best to wear with low waist jeans and pants.
  • Bikinis:
    Bikinis are a type of underwear that has a higher cut leg, thin sides, and low rise to offer less coverage for your butt with less waist coverage than briefs. The waistband sits 2-3 inches below the waist. They also come in string bikini form, in which the leg holes are constructed with a thin string of fabric.
    They can come in the same comfy fabrics as briefs (cotton, microfiber, and nylon), but also the more delicate ones like lace and argyle mesh. Depending on the fabric bikini underwear types are super versatile.
    You can wear them with anything from your favorite pair of jeans to a mini skirt.
  • Boy Shorts:
    Boy Shorts are inspired by men’s boxers briefs as the name indicates.They have a longer cut that runs to the tops of the thighs. They take on a more rectangular shape than most panties and are similar to the hipster, the key difference being that they have a lower-cut leg. Some legs go down as low as the thigh.

  • Tanga Brief:

Fabrics used are mesh, cotton, microfiber, and some time mixed polyesters.
  • Thong:
    Thong underwear uses minimal fabric to make an understated underwear style. The underwear is revealing, comfortable, and body and back-hugging, perfect for wearing under tight and form-fitting clothing. It’s a smooth, sleek style of underwear that is highly comfortable. Thongs are made for super minimal coverage to avoid visible panty lines, with a T-shape string in the back. Like the bikini, it sits three inches below the waist with the sides usually hitting right at or above the hip bone. They come in a variety of fabrics, from cotton to lace, so that you can wear them every day and on special occasions. Good to wear with body-con skirts, tights, and leggings.
  • G-String:
    It is designed to provide a minimum amount of coverage on the front, back, and side. Waistbands are string or string-like elastic bands. G-strings tend to be made with more delicate fabrics, including lace and satin. It not very comfortable with pants and some other type of jeans, denim, like outfits. It is good with tights and leggings and used when you want to avoid any visible panty line.

  • Silk :

Silk is costly and lacks durability. It also traps moisture against your skin and raises your risk of infections. Silk is extremely smooth, soft, lightweight, breathable and cool to the touch, making this fabric an excellent choice for hotter weather and  dries more quickly than cotton.
  • Lace :
    Earlier lace used to be thick but now they are soft and comfortable to wear. You can get lace made from cotton with other synthetic fibers. High-quality lace will also be more durable than other materials.
  • Satin Panties:
    Glossy and extremely smooth to the touch, satin is a lightweight fabric comprised of polyester, nylon, cotton, or a combination of different fibers.   • Check your size:
    Size is the most important factor before selecting any panties. To start, check your waist size, and also the HIP SIZE.
  • Different brands may have different sizes:
    Compare the size of different brands. There are big variations in sizes from brands to brands. Check the measurement a select the size which matches your hip and waist size.
  • Have variety:

  • Not wearing cotton:
    Most of the fabrics such as synthetic fabrics and silk are not breathable and their moisture holding capacity is very less. These increase the risk of infections. Cotton fabrics are both breathable and can hold moisture and hence reduce the risk. You should at least have some cotton panties in your collections.
  • Wearing thongs:
    Thongs can be good options when you want to avoid panties line but have some negative side as far as health is concern as it may be depositing colonic bacteria into your vagina or urethra.
  • Wearing the wrong size:
    Not having the correct size is the most common mistake. Wearing lose is uncomfortable and as good as wearing nothing. Wearing too tight is an even worse mistake. It will cause irritations and infections apart from being uncomfortable. Tight undergarments restrict airflow.
